Services

Custom Ceremonials is our response to your inquiries about  ceremonial rites for your special occasion.  Whether an event is sad or happy, we seek to offer the rites that you want, tailoring your service  to your specifications. There are a few important factors which you probably want to take into consideration in creating your ceremony:

~ the degree of formality: what is your impression of how solemn an occasion it should be? Are you aware of any unique elements which you want to include?

~ religious content: do you wish to have a traditional ceremony with ritual of one or more religions? Or are you seeking a civil ceremony without religious content? Are you interested in creating a ceremony with ritual content of both civil and specific denominational elements?

~ procedure: the order in which a ceremony progresses may involve your choices and selections. Planning the way that a service takes shape might depend upon your preferences…what to include? When?

~ who participates? Will you be selecting people to actively take part in your ceremony? What will be their role(s)?

~ problems, dilemmas, family matters: are any of these a concern at this time?

As Officiant, Sheila Vernick promotes the notion of a ritual or ceremony with an essential goal of respectfully performing your event with dignity and reverence, incorporating your own wishes within this framework. Your service can be traditional, fundamentally religious, or non-sectarian, nondenominational, or combinations of these. You select, with the expert assistance available to you, the route which your ceremony shall follow. The outcome is a tailored and tasteful service.
